4/19/18 First Haircuts (guest blogger - Aunt LeAnne)

Today was a busy, busy day for our puppies.  They had three visitors, got their first haircuts and had a weight watcher meeting.  There was also feeding and playing and napping, oh my!

Aunts Cindi and LeAnne and one of Aunt LeAnne's many kids (Laurie) came to visit.  After an initial happy greeting, lunch was served.  Then the playing and napping began.  During nap time Aunt Mamma quietly removed puppies one at a time and held them while Aunt Cindi gave them their first lion haircuts.  And what good little puppies!  They took it in stride with only a minimal amount of wiggling and absolutely NO fussing.  They acted like they had been doing it all their life instead of this being the first time. (Maybe because Aunt Mamma, aka that lady, had been using a battery powered toothbrush to introduce them to noise making vibrating devices.  Or maybe just because they are the BEST puppies EVER!)  For being not even 5 weeks old, there was a lot of hair!  And they were quite cute with their little shaved butts.

Not only are these puppies good at growing hair and getting haircuts, they are also good at eating as evidenced by the results of the weight watcher meeting.  Their total weight today was about equal to Uncle Armada's weight!  Three puppies are over 4 pounds now and the others are closing in on 4 pounds. In the six days since the last weight watcher meeting they gained a total of over 7 pounds -  that's a pound a day gained by the 9 little darlings!

The people decided it was too cold for them to go  outside today, although the puppies wouldn't have cared.  Pretty sure none of the people wanted to go outside with them though.  So playtime was all indoors.  There was still plenty of romping, running, and wresting.  One puppy even dragged around their little dog bed and laid under it playing with the tag.  There is no end to their cuteness.
