The puppies had a quietish morning with a healthy breakfast served at 7am. The MaterGator decided at 6ish that she needed to feed them so they had gone back to sleep but they were willing to wake up and eat their breakfast. Then they pottied and played a few minutes and we all went back to bed for a while.
They played with some new toys and decided to demonstrate that they could easily go over the short ex pen over the low ex pen door so it is now closed unless someone is going through it.
I’m amazed again by how they adorable they are. I repeat it frequently but I don’t know how they keep getting cuter. All of a sudden, they can run (with coordination); play bow, wag tails and pounce. More and more teeth are appearing and they are learning how to use them. Sometimes on me. I’m thinking of getting a kevlar bodysuit made ;-)
They’ve started to attempt climbing. Mostly, it’s on the side of the ex pen but they are game to try the ladder, too. They tried both sides of the ladder and when they couldn’t make much progress, they tried chewing on it.
This litter has found a new way to play with the toy tub in the pen. Instead of just climbing in and pulling out toys or taking a nap, one puppy flipped it up onto the side. Then he climbed in and proceeded to roll around the pen. While I can’t swear it wasn’t a fluke the first time, he did it more than once and then other puppies did it as well. Funny puppies.
