04/05/18 Pupdate

We’ve had another busy day of growing and sleeping and yawning and stretching.  They also grew hair and, of course, toenails!
They are doing a WONDERFUL job using the lower potty area.  More than 24 hours and all poops have been on it or just barely off the edge (pretty sure that was feet on and rear over the edge). And almost all of those were puppies getting there on their own.  (I helped one puppy because she was getting hung up in the cleanup linen on top).
Aunt LeAnne and Aunt Cindi came today to visit and help.  There was some playing with puppies, some cuddling, and some grooming of big dogs.  The puppies and I may have done a little napping, too.  The big girls now have nice clean shaven butts and muzzles again and their dremeled toenails.
We also had a successful weight watchers meeting.  LeAnne has the spreadsheet but with one exception (and it’s 1/10th of an ounce worth); the pupsters are all over 2 lbs.  Growing, growing, growing.  Good job little puppies (and MaterGator).  They are really packing it on and using what they are taking in very efficiently judging by their condition.  She’s fed them a lot more often today but generally for shorter sessions.  Tomorrow, he caloric intake increases again - this will be the peak week for her.  After that, the older bitches usually say it’s time for them to start branching out (by regurgitating for the puppies.  After that, I take over providing the additional sustenance)
I think their eyes are starting to really function because they were using their powers of perception to make the Aunties pick them up for cuddling.  It’s definitely time to add the noisy toys and small obstacles.  I’ll probably need to assemble the adventure box in the next couple of days, too.  I’ll have to start collecting all kinds of different things to include.  It’s so exciting.  Every day is an adventure.
It’s allegedly going to snow this weekend, so I may need to carry the puppies outside to see it.  Hopefully, this will be their last chance to see snow this year ;-). I’ll have to start playing the CDs for them soon, too.  In the meantime, I’m going to sniff some puppy breath all, and say Nighty, Nighty, Nighty
