I forgot to post yesterday that Bela and Aunt Doodlebug started licking the puppies' faces instead of Bela just cleaning up after them. It continued today, too. Sammiedoodlebug was warned (by humans) that if she persists, these puppies will get teeth and eventually may grab her tongue like the other puppies have done. She says she'll worry about it when it happens, and it'll be worth it if it does.
Groomapalooza didn't completely happen today. I ended up setting up the flooring and part fo the ex pen for hte next stage since their about to open eyes coupled with them already nosing up the edge of the pool indicates, they'll be out of it soon. We did give the big dogs baths and Dremeled their toenails. I bathed Bela first during one of the times she wasn't caring for her puppies. She kept sitting in the shower but otherwise enjoyed it as much as ever. She didn't make the babies wet (and cold) afterward but I closed the windows beforehand just in case.
Several of the puppies were up on all 4 feet walking around a few times today as opposed to just wriggling, crawling and lurching around. They didn't end up anywhere different this way but it is still pretty neat to observe.
Jack is insistent on helping me to type this tongiht. I'm unsure why as he is rarely THIS kind of demanding (he's more a throw the ball, throw the ball kind of dog) so I am going to give up for now. I'm going to try to get some sleep tonight, too. We'll see how that goes. First puppy yoga and changing their linens (and maybe a few cuddles here and there.)
