It seems so empty and quiet with so many of the dogs/puppies gone home. The 2 puppies can stil generate a fair amount of noise but it isn’t the same ;-)
Today, our Aunt Debra, and cousins Haley (human) and Penny (Boston Terrier) came to visit. First we terrorized Penny and then she was a little wild and then we all figured out how to play. GrammieSammie and the humans reminded all of us how to settle down to an appropriate level.
Haley came with us for our evening free range romp. We took free ranging a little too seriously and went across the little bridge to the pond. Aunt Mama was afraid we’d fall off of the bridge, then she was afraid we’d go out on the dock and fall into the deep water. We played in the sand, in the water, on Aunt Cindi’s swim platform, the dock, on the boat platform - anywhere we could find to scare (Aunt)Mama half to death. They were wet and sandy but nothing untoward happened.
After dinner, Penny customarily has a chew so I gave her one of their lamb ears. After I gave one to GrammieSammie, that box was empty so the puppies got an empty box instead. As anyone familiar with Water Dogs knows, a box is one of the BEST.TOYS. EVER. And way better than any chewy. Eventually, they napped until almost bedtime. Then they played with the box a little more, we did last call and they went right into their crates. SInce it’s a while before Steven (fka Scone) is going home, I’m not putting him in a separate room yet. (It’s easier for me to get them out in the morning if they are in the same room)
We have things to do tomorrow so I’m going to say Nighty, Nighty, Nighty. Puppy breath to all!
