5/26/17-5/27/18 Pupdate

Yesterday was another big day here.  Lots of fudgesicles were consumed.  We got outside with no accidents again - yay us! - and had a nice breakfast.  It’s really hard to remember to feed less and less ;-(.
In between baths and playing - and making sure that Cassata stayed awake since she needed to sleep on the drive to Columbus and the flight home to Colorado - I was making sure things were organized for the pickup.  There was a little mixup in the flight time so they left in a hurry.  But the GPS routed them on an extremely curvy road (NOT the best route) almost immedieately after getting off of Fudge Ck and the poor little puppy hurled.  Although she was much quieter after that,  we had all figured out they had a lot more time so they came right back and we cleaned up the puppy, carrier and rental car.  Then we gave her a tiny bit of meclizine and her daddy MUCH better directions before they had to head out for real.  She had a long drive to Columbus and then the waiting for hte flight and the flight.  Apparently, just to make it even more interesting, there was a big storm when they were supposed to take off, the wind was rocking the airplane while they were at the gate.  Poor pupsters had quite the adventure.  It sounds like she got through it unscathed and is enjoying her new family today.
Shortly after they got back on the road, Great Scott’s new family came.  We got their other dog situated and then introduced him to the puppy safely away from the MaterGator and GrammieSammie.  The big dog seemed to like the puppy and was quite tolerant of his antics.   They got loaded up and started the 9 hour drive back hoping to avoid the storms coming in.  He traveled very well anyway.
It’s VERY quiet here with just 2 puppies.  One of them is Deja so he’s staying and Scone’s new people can’t pick him up until after a pre-planned trip.  At least they aren’t all gone.
We’re doing more little jaunts outside of the dog yard each day - partly because they don’t have to give other puppies turns.  They fit so completely through the banisters on the railings and the gates that they just go through them without hesitation.  We were in the side yard and they went up onto the deck through the gate.  (I cannibalized the ex pen yesterday so there was nothing to deter them). When I called them, they came flying right back through the gate.  I think it’ll take a while before they don’t fit so I better.
They have pretty well outgrown the little Mickey Mouse fencing, too.  They can just push it where they want and go on in there.  I guess I have a lot of things to start taking down - including the massive crate for all 9 puppies.  I’ll have to put the treat n train elsewhere.  Since Caly hops up onto the smaller crate making the edge of the pen, I don’t think that’ll be a secure spot for it unless I put it in one of the sheltie crates on top of that crate.
I may wait another day to start re-doing all of that.  I’m pretty worn out and we’re supposed to pond tomorrow and Tuesday, plus my sister and niece are coming Tuesday.  It doesn’t hurt anything to have that extra space in their pen anyway.
Speaking of tired, I’m going to wind up the post and see about napping until it’s time for last call.  Nighty, nighty, nighty.  Puppy breath to all
