05/24/18 Pupdate

I’m trying to be a better blogger today so I’m starting this much earlier.  The puppies and I stayed in bed a little later this morning and they went back to the pen for a nap after a potty and a good breakfast.  When we are down to just Deja (or maybe Deja and the other boy who isn’t leaving until mid June), I may do a good morning light snack to start switching over to a more civilized schedule ;-). And we will definitely start varying the ‘schedule’ so that there isn’t an “I must eat at this time schedule going)
The puppies are rather greedy.  Even if they’ve eaten more than enough (I have a little trouble adjusting the amounts down as puppies leave), when they hear or see the big dogs eating, they think they need to eat again.  And as they go outside, several of them check out any dog bowls that may be out.
They are adorably annoying in that they learn things SO quickly.  For example, I reward them for going into the crate (night time, chewy time, some meals, etc.) so if ANY crate is open, they go right in it and I have to lure them out or pick them up.  I need to do a better job of closing all of the doors when I’m trying to wrangle puppies.  But at least they seem to have generalized crates ;-)
Aunt Cindi came today to bring Uncle Armada and take Nanny McPhoebe home (he LOVES her a little too much to keep them together especially while she’s acting like she’s in season).  She got a hair cut before she went home (I like brushing longer hair more than most people so it was long while she was here)
Uncle Armada isn’t the biggest fan of puppies but they LOVE him.  He’s actually hanging out with them more than I would have expected given his usual disdain for puppies.  He’s not cuddling but he is being quite tolerant.
Another puppy is leaving tomorrow.  Then I’ll have less than half of them.  They may not be missing me (I don’t want them to miss us) but I sure miss them!  We’re also practicing for Cassata to fly out on Saturday.  She seems to enjoy Sherpa practice but there’s not much they don’t seem to enjoy other than being ignored.  Good thing I don’t do it that often ;-)
Crating alone isn’t very difficult but getting puppies into separate crates is more difficult.  They pile into the first one they can if I open the door and let them inside.  It works a little better if I bring them inside one by one but the ones waiting are not very patient about it.  It’s a good problem to have, I guess.  We’re going to do a little more cuddling and then say Nighty, Nighty, Nighty.  Puppy breath to all
